Behavior is your agent’s personality: how it greets people, what tone it uses, what it should achieve, and what it must never do. You set it up in your agent’s Behavior tab.

What you can define

Behavior is split into sections. These are the most important ones:
  • Identity & Goal — who your agent is and what it should achieve in each conversation.
  • Welcome Message — how it greets someone writing for the first time.
  • Response Style — how long its replies are, its tone, and whether it uses emojis.
  • Process — the step-by-step it should follow to help well.
  • Key Information — facts it should never forget.
  • Do Not Do — clear limits and rules for what it must not say or do.
  • Human Handoff — when it passes the conversation to a person on your team.

Two ways to set it up

Manual

You write each section yourself. Full control over every word.

AI Assisted

Tell Eva how you want your agent to work and it drafts it for you.

Save your changes

When you’re done, click Save behavior. If you have unpublished changes, Eva shows a banner with the Publish changes button.
Be specific. Instead of “be friendly,” write “greet them by name and offer help with sizing.” Concrete examples make your agent reply better.
Every change shows up in the draft first. Test it before publishing to see how it replies with the new setup.
