Zoho connects as Other provider. Before starting, turn on IMAP and prepare the right password. Those are the two most common reasons Zoho rejects a connection.

1. Turn on IMAP in Zoho

1

Open Zoho Mail settings

Sign in to Zoho Mail with the email you will connect. Open Settings → Mail Accounts (Zoho’s own menu) and select the primary address.
2

Enable IMAP access

In the IMAP section, turn on IMAP Access and save.
If this setting is missing, your plan or organization policy may block IMAP. Ask your Zoho administrator to enable it before continuing.

2. Prepare the password

If your account does not use two-factor authentication, you can normally use the email password. If it does, the regular password will not work: create an app password.
1

Open Security in Zoho Accounts

Sign in to your Zoho account and go to Security → App passwords.
2

Generate a password

Select Generate New Password, enter Eva as the name, and create it.
3

Copy it

Zoho shows it once. Copy it without spaces; this is the password you will enter in Eva.

3. Connect Zoho in Eva

1

Open the member's email settings

In Eva, go to Settings → Members. On the person’s row, select + Set up under Email.
2

Choose Other provider

Select Other provider — cPanel, Hostinger, Zoho, or other servers.
3

Enter the address

When you leave the field, Eva recognizes Zoho and suggests the servers. For most business accounts they are IMAP: imappro.zoho.com and SMTP: smtppro.zoho.com; review the suggestion under Advanced settings and adjust it if your account is in another region.

Eva suggests the Zoho servers; confirm them under Advanced settings.

4

Enter the right password

Use the app password if you have two-factor authentication. Confirm the suggested servers under Advanced settings; change them only if your Zoho administrator gave you different ones.
5

Connect the email

Select Connect email. When it finishes, the card shows Other provider · Connected.

The IMAP and SMTP username is usually the full address, such as sales@yourcompany.com. If Zoho gave you different usernames, enter them under Advanced settings.
Eva initially brings in email from the last 5 days. It does not delete or move older messages that remain in Zoho.

If Zoho rejects the connection

Confirm that IMAP is still enabled. If you use two-factor authentication, generate a new app password and enter it under Reconnect.
Zoho uses regional domains. Keep the ones Eva detected. If your company recently moved to Zoho, ask the administrator whether the email migration has finished.
Confirm that SMTP is allowed for your account and that the username is the full address. See Troubleshoot email.

Connect another provider

Use automatic detection with cPanel, Hostinger, GoDaddy, IONOS, Namecheap, iCloud, or Yahoo.
