For most businesses, WhatsApp is where the most customers show up. Once you connect it, your agent replies on its own and every conversation lands in your inbox.
You connect through WhatsApp Business via Meta. You’ll need to be an admin of your Facebook Business account and a phone number that can receive a verification code. That number becomes dedicated to Eva.

Connect your number

1

Open your agent's channels

In the sidebar, go to AI Agents, open your agent, and click the Channels tab.An agent's channel cards, with WhatsApp among the options
2

Start the connection

On the WhatsApp card, click Connect. You’ll see the “Connect WhatsApp Business” screen.
3

Authorize with Meta

A Meta window opens. Sign in and follow the steps: choose your business portfolio, enter your WhatsApp number, and confirm the code you receive. Meta handles this part.Secure Meta window to authorize the connection
4

Return to Eva

When you’re done, the window closes on its own and you’re back in Eva. You’ll see the WhatsApp Ready status next to your number. It’s connected!

Run a test

Before letting it work, confirm everything flows. From another phone, send a “Hi” to your WhatsApp number and watch your agent reply and the conversation appear in your inbox.
Meta may ask you to add a payment method in your Meta Business Manager to send messages without limits. That’s a normal WhatsApp Business step.

Good to know

  • The 24-hour window. WhatsApp only lets you reply freely for 24 hours after the customer’s last message. After that, you need to send a template to reopen the conversation. We explain it in the FAQ.
  • Agent stopped replying? Almost always it’s because Meta’s access expired. Check Common issues to reconnect in one click.
