A WhatsApp send to a list is charged by two different parties. Meta charges every template message it delivers, by category and by the country of the person receiving it. Eva takes credits from your plan.

What you will get

You will be able to estimate what a campaign costs before sending it. And you will know which part of that cost belongs to Meta and which part belongs to Eva.

Meta’s categories

Meta files every template under a category and prices that category, country by country. The category is proposed by whoever writes the template and approved by Meta. Marketing is the most expensive category in nearly every country. Utility and authentication cost considerably less.

The 24-hour window

When a person writes to you, a 24-hour window opens, and each new message from them restarts it. Inside that window the conversation flows freely: the agent replies without a template. Outside the window, WhatsApp only lets approved templates through, and those are charged. That is why a campaign to people who have not written today always goes through a template.
Meta announced two changes for October 1, 2026: it will start charging for service messages, with one thousand free per month per number, and also for utility messages sent inside the 24-hour window. Checked on September 10, 2026.

An example with numbers

Eva estimates the cost with a rate per delivered message. For Mexico, the rate it uses today is 0.0305 dollars per marketing message and 0.0085 per utility message. Verified on September 10, 2026. A marketing campaign to 500 people in Mexico comes to about 15.25 dollars. The same campaign as utility would come to about 4.25. The official rates, country by country, are on Meta’s WhatsApp pricing page. Marketing in Mexico goes to 0.0397 dollars on October 1, 2026.
Before you confirm a send, Eva shows how many people it will reach and the estimated cost in your workspace currency. That number comes from the real list, with the excluded people already removed.

What Eva charges

Eva charges 1 credit for every 10 campaign messages WhatsApp accepts for sending; the assistant’s replies use normal credits. Messages WhatsApp rejects at send time spend no credits. An accepted message that never reaches the phone still counts, because Eva already sent it. Meta’s charge for the template arrives separately, on your WhatsApp Business account invoice.
