In the sidebar go to AI Agents, open your agent and go to the Channels tab.

Open the Messenger screen
On the Facebook Messenger card, select Connect. The channel screen opens.

Start the connection
Select Connect Messenger. Eva takes you to Meta in this same tab.

Authorize in Meta
Sign in and accept every permission Meta asks for. Eva asks to answer your pages’ messages and to see the list of pages you manage.
Meta asks you to approve the permissions. The drawing shows the shape of the window; Meta changes its design from time to time.

Choose your pages
Eva brings you back showing Choose what Eva answers, with your pages already ticked. Untick the ones you don’t want and select Connect.

Let Eva take you back
Eva confirms the connection and returns you to the channel by itself. There is no window to close, and each page appears in the list with its own status.
The connection finished; Eva returns to the channel on its own.
You can connect more than one page. Once one is connected, the button to add another is Connect another Page.
If Meta says the connection was rejected or names a missing permission, return to the
Messenger channel, select Connect Messenger or Connect another Page, and start again.
Keep every Page you want Eva to answer selected and accept every permission Meta asks for.
Eva will name any permission that is still missing; it will never show Meta’s private
technical error text.
Right after connecting, the page reads Test connection, not Working. That is expected and does not mean something failed: Eva only changes the label once a real message arrives and your agent answers it.

On the connected page, select Test now. A window opens and waits up to five minutes while you write to your page from another Facebook account. The window ticks off two signals: Message received and Eva replied.
The test waits for your message; both signals are still unticked.
When both appear the test is over, and Done closes it.
Both signals ticked: the message arrived and your agent answered.
The page is then left with the Working label and the date it was last verified. To repeat the test later, open Account settings and use Test again.
This is the most confusing case: the connection looks fine, Eva receives the messages, but nobody answers. It happens when another application was left in charge of that page’s conversations in Meta.Eva detects it and names it: the page shows Action required, and selecting Fix brings up Set Eva as the default app with the exact steps. In Meta you open that page’s settings and go to Advanced Messaging. There, under Conversation Routing, Eva is left as the default handler.That same window includes Open in Meta to go straight there, and Copy instructions to pass them to whoever manages the page. When you finish, use Verify connection.

The connection is in place; what is missing is the test. Eva marks it Working only once a real message arrives and your agent answers it. Select Test now and write to your page from another account.
The test says Eva did not reply in time
The message did arrive, but your agent did not answer. Check that the agent has its setup finished, and try once more with Try again.
Eva stopped answering after a while
Messenger allows replies within 24 hours of the customer’s last message. Every new message from the customer opens a new window.
You do not see the button to connect
Only a workspace owner or administrator connects channels. If the page is already connected and needs attention, use Ask an administrator and Copy message to send the request already written.
