# How to connect another email provider

> Connect email from cPanel, Hostinger, GoDaddy, IONOS, Namecheap, iCloud, Yahoo, or another server with automatic IMAP and SMTP detection.

Use **Other provider** when your email is not hosted by Google or Microsoft. Eva looks for the
configuration published by your domain and fills in the servers when it can verify them.

## Before you start

Have these ready:

* The full email address
* The mailbox password, not the hosting control panel password
* An app password if your provider requires one
* Your provider's IMAP and SMTP details, in case they cannot be detected

## Connect the email

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Members">
    In Eva, go to **Settings → Members**. On the person's row, select **+ Set up** in the **Email**
    column.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose Other provider">
    Select **Other provider — cPanel, Hostinger, Zoho, or other servers**.

    If you see the provider name and the IMAP and SMTP servers, continue. If Eva shows
    **Unverified suggestion**, compare the servers with your provider's details first.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter the password">
    Use the mailbox password or the required app password. Select **Connect email**.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Note>
  If Eva recognizes Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, return to the picker and use the Google or
  Microsoft button. It is safer and does not require sharing a password.
